We all have snacks but end up with different habits of snacking and how we choose the snacks we eat. Eating snacks is mostly done between the main meals which may for nutrition purposes or to reduce hunger. Weight can be gained over a short period of time when a lot of snacks is take often. To avoid being hungry constantly nuts and some fruits such as an avocado are recommended. Take your snacks about one hour before your next meal which may be either lunch or dinner.
Nutrition uptake of the body is higher when you are hungry thus it is the best time to feed on our snacks to ensure a lot of nutrients are taken in the body. The cause of feeding on snacks should not be a result of low mood. Taking snacks when emotionally low can lead to overeating and gaining weight as a result and when done on a continuous trend it can lead to obesity. When taking snacks between meal 100 calories is fine for the body and 250 calories if one if having snacks in place of a complete meal (lunch).
